Green Energy Solutions for a Brighter Future

There are very good reasons on why we focus a great deal of effort in green campaigns on reducing the energy consumption of our structures—after all, these frankly account for more than 35% of our energy use and carbon dioxide emissions in our atmosphere. But if you feature in the energy used in getting to and from our buildings—usually in cars and pickup trucks—those percentages grow extensively. And while it’s comparatively easy to decrease the use of carbon-dioxide-throwing fossil fuels to operate (through effectiveness enhancements and Solar Energy, for instance), that’s much harder with vehicles, where we reckon almost entirely on gasoline and diesel.

If we are to make a considerable dent in our fossil fuel consumption, we need to focus our attention on where we build, and on ensuring entrée to public transport and human-powered transit (bicycle paths, bicycle lanes, and walkways).

The main point

What this means is that if we want to extensively reduce energy use and carbon emissions, we need to re-examine where using in our homes and on how we chose to attend to our lifestyle. Urban infill housing and renovation of older houses in more densely developed neighborhoods is greener than building new houses in suburban and rural areas. If homeowners can walk to the store or a coffee shop, they will be less likely to use their cars all the time. This means that it would lessen the use of diesel and petroleum that they use for their cars.

There are also things we can do in conniving or restructure homes to smooth the progress of options to driving. Expedient storage of bicycles is one stratagem—making it effortless to get a bicycle out and use it. If it’s easy, more of us will bike. At the workplace, providing safe, enclosed bike storage and facilities can help to persuade this substitute to driving. More suitable, premium parking for carpool vehicles may inspire more workers to share rides.

Other Sources

A ground-source heat pump (GSHP) is also referred to as a “Geothermal” heat pump, however; I rather the former jargon, to steer clear of perplexity with true Geothermal Energy systems that depends on prominent temperatures deep subversive from the Earth’s mantle.

Solar power (power and energy interchangeable), when producing electricity for you and me, is a progression where the energy rich beaming rays of the sun are exploited into electricity and used to power our homes. The technology manufacturing this possible is referred to as “solar panels” or solar systems. In the principle case, when we have reasonably a big flat area to spare, we may perhaps use a hundred square feet and mount about 10 or 12 panels which could fabricate about a kilowatt of power.

Whether you are provoked by millions of new jobs; energy sovereignty; better health; liability for polluting corporations; a toughen economy; cleaner air; defense against impulsive fossil fuel costs; augmented national security; improved economic competitiveness; food security; a reduced trade shortfall; water security; invigorated rural communities; energy lattice security; protection of biodiversity; or the necessity to address the climate crisis, replacing fossil fuels with Renewable Energy is central to achieving it.
